Taking inspiration from his own upbringing Spielberg tells the story of a young boy with dreams of becoming a filmmaker, and how he unwittingly discovers a secret about his family.
Sammy Fableman is a young boy in 1950’s New York and when he first goes to see “The Greatest Show on Earth” he is struck by cinema as if by lightening.
From this point on he is in love with the movies.
It is an intriguing story of how a cinematic genius got his start and is Spielberg’s most personal film.
