Rosamund Brass have become firm favourites of audiences at the Heron. They can be relied upon to provide a wide range of classical music with the odd contemporary piece dropped in to amuse.
These young musicians are extremely talented as individuals and perfectly matched as a quartet. They have built up a loyal following so do be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Rosamund Brass were formed in Sept 2020 whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. They had all known each other for a considerably longer time however, as some were members of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, as well as other competing youth bands.
As an ensemble, they aim to explore repertoires for brass quartets and share their passion for brass chamber music. Individually, members have been involved with professional ensembles such as the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, Carlton Main and Frickley Colliery band, Halle Orchestra and Bergen Philharmonic.
With these ensembles they have performed all over Europe in some of the world’s finest venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, KKL Lucerne and the Grieg Hall.
