Jon Kenzie is an artist who became a professional performer during the 20 years he lived in Manchester.
For the last four years he has been living in Hamburg, Germany, a city he got to know well during his European travels over the years. Jon is known for winning over crowds wherever he plays and has built a loyal following busking the streets, lighting up iconic clubs, and supporting acclaimed artists throughout the globe.
Armed with groovy guitar lines and a raw, soulful voice, Jon’s performances stop people in their tracks. Balancing stripped-back intimacy with raw, driving energy, his songs leave a mark on anyone drawn to deep groove and honest emotion.
Jon has independently released four albums, showcasing his range across Blues, Folk, and Soul.
Rooted in the spirit of legends like Muddy Waters, Al Green, and Bob Dylan, he channels that timeless influence through a modern lens inspired by artists such as Alabama Shakes, The Teskey Brothers, Gary Clark Jr, and Leon Bridges.
His newest album, ‘Silent Applause‘ marks his most cohesive work yet, a bold fusion of genres that defines a sound unmistakably his own. Jon is also deep into the process of writing and recording his fifth solo album, which he is hoping will be ready for release by next summer.
