Writing Workshop With Deborah Swift
Beginning Writing – 7 Ideas To Get You Started
In this workshop we will write fast and furiously to get some ideas down on paper, using seven different starting points. We will be writing in seven different ways too – a poem, some flash fiction, the opening of a novel, a historical vignette, a memoir, a fable, and a human interest report.
This is the equivalent of an artist making rapid sketches to get ideas for a painting they’d like to develop, and is a way to find your writing voice.
Bring paper and pen, or your writing device, reading glasses if you need them, and be prepared to surprise yourself.
Everyone welcome, including total beginners to writing.
