The Border Readers are regionally based professional actors who present intimate audio events in community arts venues across the northern counties.
Roberta Kerr, Helen Longworth and Stephen Tomlin have strong associations with Lancaster and South Lakes cultural life. All were key players in the Demi-Paradise promenade Shakespeare and Deck The Hall Christmas Concerts at Lancaster Castle between 2000 – 2016 as well as being involved in many Dukes Theatre and Brewery Arts productions down the years.
Shore Lines consists of short stories with coastal settings in different genres, from rom-com to crime and the supernatural. The Weather Gleam by Tony Glover and Touch and Go by Jo Scott play out against the distinctive backdrops of Lindisfarne and the Northumberland coast.
The other two powerful narratives, Mud by Ann Cleeves and Crossing The Bar by Linda Cracknell, are set on the river estuaries of North Devon. More on writers, stories and readers at: https://www.theborderreaders.co.uk
