One of the best loved of Noel Coward’s plays, Hay Fever follows the antics of the awful Bliss family in June 1924. Coward explodes the idea of ‘the country house weekend’ –  with hilarious consequences.

Each member of the Bliss family has invited a weekend guest but omitted to tell the rest of the family: chaos ensues, and allegiances are made and broken.

In this re-setting of a performance of Noel Coward’s Hay Fever as part of a gala night, the original cast of 1925 are re-united to create a definitive rendition of the production as a radio play. Meet the dreadful Bliss family who are determined to be as rude as possible to their weekend guests, forced to flee having endured a very punishing visit. An exciting re-imagining of Coward’s great play, his dialogue is placed front and centre, emphasising his wit, his satire, and ability to capture a cultural moment with impeccable style.
