Hamnet

Based on the critically acclaimed book by Maggie O’Farrell, Hamnet tells the story of the relationship between William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) and his wife Agnes (Jessie Buckley) and the impact of the tragic death of their 11-year-old son Hamnet, probably from the plague which was rife in England at the time.

It is a moving story of family love and loss that reputedly inspired the creation of one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.
