This tragicomic romance is set in a rain-lashed Helsinki where two lonely souls in search of love meet by chance in a local karaoke bar. However, their path to happiness is beset by numerous obstacles from lost telephone numbers to mistaken addresses, alcoholism, despair and a stray dog.

Asna works in a supermarket but loses her job when giving food to a homeless man, and Holappa loses his job too because of heavy drinking, but despite all their problems and setbacks this is an uplifting story.
