A lonely widow (Emma Thompson) gets lost in a blizzard among the backroads of Minnesota when her pickup truck breaks down in deep snow.
She stops at a remote cabin to ask for help and there discovers a young woman who appears to have been kidnapped by the couple in the cabin who are armed and desperate and seem intent on murder. Isolated and with no mobile phone connection the unlikely hero realises she is the young woman’s only hope of survival.
This is an unusual role for Emma Thompson, but she excels in it.
