Cumbria Festival Chamber Choir

Cumbria Festival Chamber Choir is a newly formed ensemble of some 16 singers drawn from the finest of Cumbria’s choral singers under the directorship of Nicholas Hurndall Smith and Ian Jones.

The group’s repertoire is very wide, spanning some 5 centuries of choral music in many styles.

For this concert they will be joined by the eminent harpist Anna Kate Pearson in Benjamin Britten’s timeless ‘Ceremony of Carols’, Christmas music by Poulenc and a re-imagining of carolling in Thomas Hardy’s Dorset.
