Chanson Et Piano

Sunday 14th September 2025, 2:00pm

After their Sell Out Concert in 2023 of music by Schubert, local soprano Faye Bowness with pianists David Battersby & Ken Forster return with a programme of music from France.

Gorgeous songs, piano solos and duets. Prepare to be enchanted by the music of Faure, Berlioz, Poulenc and more.

Faye Bowness (Singer)

Faye is a 24 year old soprano singer from Cumbria. She began singing when she was 7, partaking in as many local opportunities as she could ranging from the Mary Wakefield and South Cumbria Music Festival to winning The Bay’s Charity Stars in 2015, supporting charities such as North West Air Ambulance.

She also is a keen soloist for numerous local choirs, having previously performed with Arnside Choral Society, Kendal Choral Society and most recently The Pro Nobis Singers.

After finishing her music undergraduate in June 2020 she went on to complete her postgraduate diploma in vocal studies at the University of York and has returned to the north west as both a solo performer and a peripatetic vocal teacher within local primary and secondary schools.

She is currently involved in the performances with local groups Ottovoce, That Face Theatre Co. and Preston Opera, understudying the role of Tatyana in their production of Eugene Onegin.
